Brighter Kensington and Chelsea
Started in 1953 to celebrate the Coronation of the Queen and help overcome damage from World War II, Brighter Kensington and Chelsea has been promoting and celebrating the borough’s horticulture ever since. They hope to run their summer competition in June/July 2021 with the prize-giving early in November.
The London Group of Plant Heritage has over 200 members and is home to a diverse range of 20 National Plant Collections. They meet regularly for talks, plant sales and garden visits throughout the year. New members are very welcome.
The London Gardens Society is a registered charity that has been established for over 100 years and its aim is “to make a permanent contribution towards beautifying London by the growing of flowers and shrubs thus improving the urban environment”. The LGS hope to run their annual Summer Competition in 2021.
Organized in 1955, the club operates exclusively on a non-profit basis for charitable and educational purposes, and for the well-being of the community and public benefit. The Club promotes civic beauty, encourages improvement of public spaces, raises awareness of environmental concerns and advances the art of floral design and horticulture.
